🔥 Product Safety Recall – Kids Beach Oodie

Hi there,

We’re reaching out regarding an important update about the first production run of our Kids Beach Oodie that you may have purchased from MarvHood.

While the product remains safe to use, we’ve identified a labelling issue: the required red fire hazard warning label (see example below) was not included on these units, which puts us out of compliance with the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment (MBIE) guidelines.

⚠️ What’s the Issue?

When the Kids Beach Oodie was originally classified, it was mistakenly deemed exempt from needing a fire warning label. After further guidance from the MBIE, we’ve confirmed the label should be included. All future batches have already been updated to fix this.

🔥 Potential Hazard

There is a risk of serious burn injuries if the product is exposed to open flame or high heat sources without this warning clearly displayed.

Please reach out to us, and we’ll offer you one of the following:

  • A fire warning label with easy instructions to attach it to your existing Kids Beach Oodie.
    OR

  • A replacement product from our current Kids Beach range, in exchange for your non-compliant item.
